Our site currently consists of 124 full sized plots and 13 half sized plots. We split or re-merge plots depending upon demand and suitability.
Our Waiting List
There are currently 42 people on the waiting list with the person at the top having applied in June 2017. We estimate that it will take around 3-4 years to get a plot. Yes, I know that these two facts are contradictory but the rate that people are added to the waiting list and that plots become vacant is quite variable.
[As of 04-Feburary-2019]
How to apply
There are two ways to apply for a plot.
Darlington Borough Council’s web site will allow you to apply for a plot with us or any other council site in town. Go to the website and find 'Allotments' - try here http://www.darlington.gov.uk/environment-and-planning/allotments/. There are three kinds of allotments in Darlington - Council Run, Self-Managed and Private. We are one of the self-managed sites. Separate application forms for the Council run and Self-Managed sites are on the web site. You can apply to as many sites as you like as far as I know. There is also a map showing the location of all the sites in town. Applications are passed onto us and we add them to the waiting list.
If you just want to apply for our site, let us know and we will add you. E-mail to [email protected],com is the preferred method although you can phone the Secretary or Lettings Officer, details above. We need your name, address, phone number(s) and e-mail.
In both cases, you need to consider if you want a full size plot, a half plot or would either do.
